Light tends to be best just before and after a storm. Today was no different. This was shot while we were waiting for this afternoons awesome storms to move through the area. The natural beauty of the world we inhabit still amazes me!
Again, mother nature does not disappoint! An absolutely fantastic series of storms moved through the area this afternoon, bringing with them lightning and quarter inch hail! Our son and I setup early and waited. Again "F8 and be there" and "good things come to those who wait" come to mind. Our son got the full storm chasing experience today!
Converting an already dramatic image to black and white can make for some stunning results. We really lucked out with this afternoons storms. We would have kept shooting if not for the visibility killing downpour and quarter inch hail.
